VW Updates ID.3 In China With Different Interior Colors And Touches

JAKARTA - Recently, Volkswagen (VW) updated the ID.3 model for the Chinese market. This automotive manufacturer from Germany provides little change to the exterior to the interior at affordable prices.

Launching from CarNewsChina, Wednesday, March 5, this electric hatchback is pegged at a price range of 119,900 136,900 yuan or equivalent to IDR 270.1 million to IDR 308.4 million.

At a glance, the exterior of VW ID.3 did not experience any significant changes. The difference lies in the black-painted pillar A with a similar rim design, but now offers 18 inches and 20 inches of options. The manufacturer also added the latest two colors, namely Beige and Light Blue.

Entering the interior, the car now has a central control screen that is bigger than 10 inches to 12.9 inches with the same LCD instrument panel at a size of 5.3 inches.

Then, the center screen now has smaller bezels and does not have additional physical buttons at the bottom. The tunnel in the center console is also redesigned with wireless chargers and two cupholders.

The rest, the performance of this car is the same as before, armed with an electric motorbike embedded in the back which provides 125 kW of power and 310 Nm of torque.

Armed with a 53.6 kWh LFP battery supplied from CATL, this one car can provide a distance of up to 451 km according to CLTC conditions and has an energy consumption of 13.4 kWh/100 km.

This battery option has the capacity to charge from 30-80 percent within 48 minutes using a fast-charging DC device.

VW also offers battery packages from NMC for ID.3 with a smaller capacity, namely 52.8 kWh which can provide a distance of 450 km and can charge from 30-80 percent in 42 minutes with DC devices.

This model is a product of the SAIC-VW joint venture as well as the best-selling model presented by this brand in the bamboo curtain country.

In 2024, VW managed to sell 93,816 units of ID.3 in China. Meanwhile, the hatchback has sold 2,623 units in January this year.
