Western Final: Mavericks Winning 3-0 After Beating Timberwolves 116-107

JAKARTA - Dallas Mavericks managed to take a 3-0 lead in the West Region's best-of-seven final series after beating Minnesota Timberwolves with a score of 116-107 in Game 3 which took place on Sunday night May 26 or Monday morning WIB. The match at the American Airlines Center, Dallas, was fierce, but Mavericks managed to show his toughness at the end of the match.

PJ Washington broke the draw in the final minutes with a three-point shot. Meanwhile, Daniel Gafford performed brilliantly at both ends of the pitch at the end of the game. Mavericks is now likely to advance to the NBA Final for the first time since winning the title in 2011. Moreover, the next match will be held in Dallas on Tuesday, May 28 or Wednesday morning WIB.

In this 3rd game, Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving scored 33 points each, helping Mavericks record a 55.9 percent shot accuracy from the pitch and 50 percent (14 from 28) from outside the three-point line. Anthony Edwards accounts for 26 points, nine rebounds, and nine assists for Timberwolves, who tried to get up but were left behind in the number of free shots compared to Dallas.

After being left behind for up to 12 points in the first half, actually Timberwolves managed to equalize to 77-77 through Edwards' basketball with 4:51 remaining time in the third quarter. The match then went tight with 10 draws in the next 13 minutes.

Washington broke the final deadlock with a three-point shot at 3:38 remaining, bringing Mavericks 107-104 ahead. Doncic added the lead to 109-105 with his short shot at 2:16 remaining, and Irving solidified the lead with a shot from the right corner.

Gafford, who got more playing time after the Dereck Lively II reserve center had to leave the game in the third quarter due to a neck injury, managed to block Mike Conley's effort with a remaining 56.7 seconds.

Gafford then scored a blank from the Doncic lob assist despite a foul. Gafford's free loop put Mavericks 114-105 ahead with 34.8 seconds remaining, closing the chance of Timberwolves to bounce back.

Doncic ended the game with seven rebounds, five assists, and five steals. Washington accounted for 16 points and eight rebounds, while Derrick Jones Jr. added 11 points. On the side of Timberwolves, Karl-Anthony Towns scored 14 points and 11 rebounds, Conley contributed 16 points, Jaden McDaniels added 15 points, Naz Reid scored 14 points, and Kyle Anderson closed with 10 points.
