Bayern Munich Will Permanent Eric Dier

Bayern Munich said they were satisfied with Eric Dier's appearance during the loan period from Tottenham Hotspur.

The Athletic reports that FC Hollywood will make the status of the England national team defender permanent.

Bayern does have a clause with Tottenham in which there is an option to extend the loan for the next 12 months after this season is over.

In addition, there is also an option to turn into a permanent transfer at the end of this season.

Apparently, Munich chose the second option because of Dier's big contribution to the team. In fact, he has only played six times since signing in January 2024.

Even so, the club leadership remains interested in Dier's game. Apart from being able, Munich saw the important role of the 30-year-old player in terms of leadership on the field.

Dier helped Munich win a clean-sheet in his six matches.

Interestingly, making Dier permanent at the end of this season does not need to spend much. Bayern only needs to pay 3.5 million pounds for a loan agreement.

You see, after the loan period was over in June 2024, Dier was agent-free. So, Munich only needs to apply for a contract as a permanent player for the Bavarian club without a transfer fee.

This means that Dier will remain with his colleague, Harry Kane, in an effort to achieve glory with Munich.

So far, Dier and Kane are working hand in hand to lift the Bundesliga 2023/2024 title. They are still eight points behind Bayer Leverkusen who leads the standings.

In addition to domestic competition, Bayer is still struggling in the 2023/2024 Champions League. They will try to beat Lazio by a two-goal difference in the second leg of the last 16 for tickets to the quarter-finals.
