Revealed, Guardiola's Reason For Not Playing Kevin De Bruyne Against Brentford

JAKARTA - Midfielder Kevin De Bruyne missed Manchester City's hard work before a 1-0 win over Brentford in the 2023/2024 Premier League.

Apparently, De Bruyne had a bit of trouble with the hamstring so she just sat on the bench and was not played in the match at the Etihad Stadium, Wednesday, February 21, 2024, early morning WIB.

The crucial match against Brentford must be won. You see, Man City was arrested by Chelsea 1-1. However, in that important match, De Bruyne was actually banned.

"His condition is clearly no problem. It's just that we need to be careful when he feels uncomfortable. He is out for up to five months due to problems in the hamstring," he said.

De Bruyne suffered a hamstring injury while appearing at the opening of the Premier League competition against Burnley in August 2023. As a result of his injury, he had to undergo surgery and rest for five months.

The Belgian national team player finally returned to play in the FA Cup last month. After recovering, he has played 10 times by scoring two goals and making eight assists.

In the match against Brentford, striker Erling Haaland saved Man City. He scored the only goal that gave Man City a 1-0 win.

The victory made Man City move up to second place while maintaining competition with leaders of the Liverpool standings. The two teams will duel at Anfield on March 10, 2024.
