JAKARTA - Jurgen Klopp offeredUL-Goran Eriksson the opportunity to fulfill his dream of becoming Liverpool manager for a day.

Former British national team management, Eriksson, who is 75 years old, recently revealed that he was diagnosed with terminal cancer and estimated that he would not live more than a year away. Reflecting on some of his biggest regrets from his management career, Sweden acknowledged its disappointment at never having the chance to coach Liverpool, the team it supports.

Liverpool contacted Eriksson to discuss their role in the charity game Legends in March, and Klopp is now going a step further by inviting Eriksson to visit the training headquarters and spend the day serving as Liverpool manager.

"I know about him without knowing him, we never met," Klopp said. "Of course it was very touching when I heard the news.

"It's the first time I've heard of his admiration or his love for Liverpool and that he's a fan throughout his life. So, I'm now hearing about Legends [games] and things like that. I'm not responsible for that, so I can't say anything about that," he said.

"The time I can say is that he is very welcome to come here and he can sit in my chair in my office and do my job for a day if he wants. It doesn't matter. Being on the sidelines will probably be a little more difficult," he added.

"To bring him here and show him everything and how the club has grown over the years, I think it's definitely something we're going to tell him. He can come and spend some beautiful hours here, I'm sure," Klopp said.

Responding to an offer to coach the Legends match, Eriksson admitted that he would accept it with pleasure.

"I will accept, of course," he told Good Morning Britain. "Training Liverpool, it will be my dream. It's always been my dream, but I don't complain. I have a lot of good football teams, national teams and clubs, so I'm happy."
