JAKARTA - The National Nutrition Agency (BGN) will prepare a system that allows the public to monitor and evaluate the menu of the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) Program. The plan is that the system will be accessible starting next week.
Head of BGN Sudaryono said this effort was one form of improving the operational transparency of the MBG Program, as well as ensuring that the menu served by the Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG) is really of good quality and has good nutritional content.
"We will announce at the next moment how the public can participate in overseeing this MBG menu, overseeing this food that is shared. We hope that next week it will be accessible to all parents of students," said Sudaryono in a press conference, Monday, July 27.
Furthermore, he said that parents can access the monitoring system through a platform. In it, they can check the school where their child is studying, the MBG menu presented, the responsible SPPG, and the name of the related SPPG Head.
"So, the parties concerned or stakeholders can get this information, including the nutritional content in the menu. Parents, teachers, principals, regional heads, and departments can access this information," he added.
In addition, Sudaryono said that BGN will also increase the transparency of information on its official website. In this case, BGN will update the appearance of the site and list data on the number of SPPGs operating in each sub-district and district/city as well as the number of beneficiaries.
