Wolves Defeated, Chelsea Are Getting Tough On Champions League

JAKARTA - Chelsea lost again. In the match against Wolverhampton Wanderers in the English Premier League at the Molineux Stadium, Sunday, December 24 evening WIB, Chelsea were forced to surrender 2-1. They are even more difficult to get to the top and enter the Champions League zone.

Chelsea's hard efforts to catch up in the game against Wolves failed this Christmas Eve game. Had reduced the goal miss, but the Blues ended up having to give up in this away game.

The result shows Chelsea is still not consistent in domestic competitions so it remains stuck in the middle board.

Previously, Chelsea had come back to win 3-2 over Brighton and Hove Albion. But they were then forced to surrender by Manchester United (2-1) and Everton (2-0).

Chelsea managed to get up by beating Sheffield United 2-0, but were then forced to give up against Wolves. The defeat made it even more difficult for Chelsea to enter the top.

The hope of returning to compete in the Champions League is not easy. How not, Chelsea must penetrate the top four if they want to get a ticket to the competition for a wide ear trophy.

The problem is, the two-time Champions League champions are still stuck in 10th place with 22. Chelsea points are the same as Wolves, who are one strip under the West London club, losing on goal difference.

Goals started with a quick counter-attack, winger Pablo Sarabia then fired a pass at Lemina which could be converted into a goal.

After winning 1-0, Wolves actually played more aggressively. But their efforts always failed. However, Gary O'Neil's team was also able to withstand the onslaught of the visitors who were ahead of possession.

Tumah finally added a goal when Matt Doherty managed to break into Chelsea's goal in injury time or 90+3 minutes to be exact.

Starting from the mistake of Chelsea's Benoit Badiashil who was about to throw the ball away. But the wild ball fell at Doherty's feet and then fired a shot into the net.

The match got hotter because Chelsea had reduced the lag three minutes later. Christopher Nkunku's visitors' goal finished with Raheem Sterling's assist. The score changed to 2-1.

Chelsea immediately played totally offensive. Sterling had asked for a penalty because he felt he had been dropped in the box.

But the referee let the incident be because Sterling was considered diving. The score did not change 2-1 when the game ended.
