JAKARTA - Midfielder of the Indonesia U-17 national team, Figo Denis spread threats ahead of the match against Ecuador. The two teams will meet in the first match of the 2023 U-17 World Cup. The match will be held as the opening group A at the Gelora Bung Tomo Stadium (GBT), Surabaya on Friday 10 November 2023 at 19.00 WIB.

Coming to appear in front of his own supporters at a prestigious event, Figo called himself and the team in a fully prepared condition against Ecuador as the first opponent.

"The preparation of players so far is quite good because we are also quite ready and there are so many developments. We are quite ready to fight Ecuador," said Figo Dennis in the official release of the 2023 U-17 World Cup LOC quoted Thursday, November 9.

The Indonesian vs Ecuador duel is confirmed to be attended by tens of thousands of spectators, because ticket sales for this match have been sold out. With a lot of direct support, Figo felt it was a bit nervous.

However, the presence of this supporters is an advantage because it can burn enthusiasm and help suppress the opponent's mentality.

"The burden may be seen by supporters, many people, but during the match they have to play loose because they play at home. They are guests, we have to show that we have Indonesia. So we have to do our best," said the midfielder from Persija Jakarta.

On the other hand, Figo also praised the good training facilities in Surabaya. He hopes that Indonesia can display the best game and qualify for the knockout phase.

"The atmosphere in Surabaya and the training facilities are quite good, the field is FIFA standard. Food at the hotel is also very good," said the player from Probolinggo, East Java.

"Our first target is that we have to think about qualifying for the last 16, the most important thing is first. We just thought about it next," Figo added.

To fight Ecuador, the U-17 Indonesian national team only has to do training later tonight at the Gelora Stadium on November 10, Surabaya. Later before kick off there will be an opening ceremony that will be held lively at the Gelora Bung Tomo Stadium, Surabaya.
