Persija Jakarta Vs Persikabo 1973: The Battle Of Sentit Two Teams In The Middle Of Rise

JAKARTA - Persija Jakarta awaits a duel with Persikabo 1973 with high confidence. This is the aftermath of the Kemayoran Tigers' victory over PSM Makassar in the previous match.

The duel between Persija Jakarta and Persikabo 1973 will take place in the 19th week of Liga 1 2023/2024. The match will be held at Patriot Chandrabhaga Stadium, Bekasi on Thursday 9 November at 19.00 WIB.

In the previous match, Persija managed to beat PSM with a score of 3-2 when they visited the Gelora BJ Habibie Stadium. The positive result raised the confidence of the Kemayoran Tigers who had not won for five weeks.

"After playing very well and being able to win in the last match, it was a very crucial moment for the team," said Thomas Doll from Persija's website quoted Wednesday, November 8.

"We need to feel successful, because so far everyone has always believed in the team's hard work. This is also important for the team's psychology," he added.

Before defeating PSM Makassar, Andritany Ardhiyasa Cs could only draw three times against Bali United (1-1), Persis Solo (2-2), and Barito Putera (1-1), and lost to RANS Nusantara FC (1-2), and PSIS Semarang (1-2).

"When we look back we always dominate the game, but we find it difficult to score goals," said Thomas Doll.

"But after we won against PSM and were able to score three goals, I think this could change the team's confidence and change Persija's position in the second half of this season," he added.

Meanwhile for Persikabo 1973, the match against Persija will be a moment to rise and prolong positive dominance. Laskar Padjajaran just won in his last match.

Persikabo's situation is not much different from Persija, after having difficulty winning Aji Santoso's team finally breaking eggs. Against RANS Nusantara, Persikabo won 2-1 last weekend.
