Indonesian Athletics Target 4 Gold Medals At The 2023 Asian Para Games, This Number Becomes A Mainstay

JAKARTA - The Indonesian athletics team targets four gold medals when performing at the Asian Para Games 2023 in Hangzhou, China. The sprint number will be a mainstay.

Sports athletics send 22 athletes who will go down in several race numbers. Among these are sprints, throwing discs, bullets, wheelchair racing and long jump.

In addition to four gold medals, the Indonesian athletics team also targeted five silver medals and four bronze medals.

The gold medal is expected to be brought home by Saptoyogo Purnomo and Karisma Evi Tiaranputra runners. The target was also charged to Suparni Yati who will compete in the F20 women's bullet.

The target is based on the results of the analysis of the coach on the achievement records of athletes in a number of championships and qualifications that have been followed so far.

"Based on achievement records and achievements, we compare with the achievements of other countries' competitors by looking at the ranking on the website or international championship," the Head of the Para-Aatletics Coach, Slamet Widodo in his written statement was quoted as saying Wednesday 18 October.

"Para-athletics is a measurable sport so that we can see the notes of the opponent's achievements and then analyzed so that the target is set to the athlete," he added.

The Red-White Athletics Team will start the race on October 23 to prepare it, athletes continue to undergo training to maintain performance and foster motivation and enthusiasm ahead of the match.

"We are scheduled to practice every morning and will maximize the opportunity to finalize the performance of athletes," said Slamet.
