PSSI Chairman's Final Speech, Iwan Bule: I Entrust The National Team, Entrust The Competition, Entrust The National Football

JAKARTA - Mochamad Iriawan ended his tenure as General Chair of PSSI 2019-2023 today, Thursday, January 16. He gave his final remarks as chairman at the 2023 PSSI Extraordinary Congress (KLB) which was held at the Shangri-La Hotel, Jakarta.

In his remarks, Iriawan compared his PSSI leadership to being like a ship crossing an uneasy sea. There are several ripples and rocks to deal with.

"So I and the crew on duty had to take quick steps, and sometimes inconveniences arose for the passengers," said the man who is familiarly called Iwan Bule.

"But believe me, all of this is solely for the safety of Indonesian football," he continued.

At the end of this position, Iriawan promised to continue to oversee Indonesian football, including ensuring that the PSSI KLB runs safely, comfortably, and in accordance with the Statutes.

He also conveyed a message to all football people, including the new PSSI management later. The former West Java Police Chief hopes that PSSI will be led by someone who has totality in managing national football.

"Congratulations on carrying out the KLB, I hope that the KLB will produce the best chairman, who has totality for football and is tireless in managing Indonesian football," said Iriawan.

"After the KLB later, of course, I hope that there will be no difference in perspective, but all will unite again, together again to advance national football," he continued.

The man who also served as Secretary of the National Defense Institute is sure that in the future national football will be better, will have more achievements, and will further raise the dignity of the Indonesian nation.

"I entrust the national team, I entrust the competition, I entrust Indonesian football to the new management," he concluded.
