MU's 3-0 victory over Nottingham Forest was not enough to satisfy Erik ten Hag

JAKARTA - Manchester United (MU) won a landslide 3-0 win over Nottingham Forest in the first leg of the English League Cup semifinal at the City Ground, Thursday, January 26, early morning of Western Indonesian Time (WIB).

MU's three goals in this match were scored by Marcus Rashford, Wout Weghorst and Bruno Fernandes respectively.

This victory is clearly an important capital for MU to face the second leg match which will take place at Old Trafford.

However, this victory still could not satisfy the manager, Erik ten Hag. The Dutchman sees that there is still room for his team to improve.

"There is one moment that can change the game. That's what we have to improve again," Ten Hag told Sky Sports after the match.

"They changed the system, and we couldn't have anticipated that. It didn't happen. There is still room where we have to learn and improve if we want to be at the top."

"We almost let them come back into the game. We can't allow the opponent to come back when we started well. We have to avoid that," he continued.

Weghorst, who scored in this match, thinks the same as the manager. According to him, MU did not control the game as expected.

"We weren't happy with the way we played in the first half," said the player on loan from Burnley.
