JAKARTA - The PSSI will hold an ordinary congress on January 7, 2023. This plan has been officially notified to all voting owners.
This was stated in an official letter sent by PSSI to the Provincial Association, Member Club and Member Association on Monday, November 7 yesterday.
The sending of this notification letter is a follow-up to PSSI's letter number 4449/UDN/2853/X-2022 dated October 29, 2022, regarding the acceleration of the congress. The decision was taken at the PSSI Exco Emergency Meeting on October 28.
"Hereby convey several things related to the PSSI ordinary congress in 2023. As the PSSI Statute article 32 paragraph (2), PSSI notifies PSSI members that the PSSI ordinary congress will be held on January 7, 2023," said PSSI's official statement on the federation's website.
PSSI also revealed that members can submit proposals related to the agenda 45 days before the regular congress. Voters can submit proposals in writing to the PSSI Secretary-General on 23 November 2023.
"As the PSSI Statute article 32 paragraph (4), PSSI will convey the official agenda of the 2023 PSSI Ordinary Congress to PSSI members at least 7 days before the 2023 PSSI Ordinary Congress is held," the statement continued.
Previously, PSSI had sent a letter to FIFA regarding the acceleration of the congress on 31 October. PSSI hopes that FIFA can provide recommendations so that PSSI can make congressional notifications to members.
It is not officially stated whether PSSI has received a reply from FIFA or not. However, by sending a notification letter regarding the regular congress to members, it can be concluded that PSSI has received the "green light" from the parent of world football.
