Composition Of Indonesia's Representatives In The Quarter-Finals Of Japan Open 2022: The Steep Road For The Red And White Squad

JAKARTA - The Japan Open 2022 tournament has entered the quarter-finals. There are five Indonesian representatives who will fight for the top four tickets, Friday, September 2.

However, a steep road must be passed by the Red and White squad. They are faced with an opponent who is predicted to be difficult to beat.

In the women's doubles sector, Apriyani Rahayu/Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti already had to face the first seed from China, Chen Qing Chen/Jia Yi Fan.

The meeting record of the two pairs is still the same, which is 1-1. Two meetings took place recently.

In the first meeting at the Indonesia Masters on June 12, Apriyani/Siti Fadia lost 18-21, 12-21. However, they responded with a win at the Malaysia Open 2022, July 1, with a score of 14-21, 21-13, and 21-16.

Gregoria Mariska Tunjung also faces a tough opponent. He also met the Chinese representative, Chen Yu Fei.

While in the men's singles number, Chico Aura Dwi Wardoyo, who had eliminated Kento Momota and Rasmus Gemke, will meet the representative of the host, Kenta Nishimoto.

His opponent was the single that eliminated another Indonesian hero, Jonatan Christie, in the round of 16.
