JAKARTA - Mike Tyson's return to boxing at the age of 56 is one that, although ended without tragedy, caused a large number of people stress.

As one of the greatest athletes of all time, there is no denying that Tyson is approaching his 60th birthday, and as such he is encouraged not to get involved with a possible exhibition bout with Jake Paul.

Paul, despite being a total amateur who had never even come close to a fight against a trained boxer, had the edge over Tyson as a young player.

And while the fight wasn't expected to be in the YouTuber's favor, there's always been a fear that the force of a punch to someone approaching over 60 could cause injury.

Shelly Finkel worked with Tyson as his manager until he retired from the sport in 2005, he is now urging his former clients to avoid such fights.

"I didn't like it", Finkel told SunSport on Friday.

"Mike has a mind of his own, if he asks me then I'll tell him my opinion."

Both individuals are open to fighting

Paul and Tyson seem poised for this money-making event, although Paul is currently trying and securing a meeting with fellow YouTubers, KSI.

Tyson was inactive after his comeback bout against Roy Jones Jr, though Finkel detailed how there should have been the third encounter between his former client and longtime rival, Evander Holyfield.

"He actually reached out to me and then I spoke after that fight about trying to put the Holyfield fight together", he added.

"That never happened, and after Holyfield's performance with the MMA fighter it was over."
