Smoked By Marc Marquez At The American MotoGP, Fabio Quartararo: He's One Of The Title Competitors Of The Year

JAKARTA - Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP racer, Fabio Quartararo, said Marc Marquez is one of the competitors in the title race this season. This statement came after Quartararo lost to the Repsol Honda racer in the American MotoGP.

In that race, Marc Marquez, who had slipped to the very back position, managed to finish sixth. He did a number of maneuvers to get past the other riders, including Quartararo who finally finished 7th in the race at the Austin Circuit.

"I think Marc will be one of the contenders for the title this year," Quartararo said, as reported by Crash, Monday, April 11.

However, he will not remain silent. The French rider will also try to defend the 2021 MotoGP world title he won last season.

"So I think we will have more (fights) like this, for better positions."

Fabio Quartararo said there was an advantage when he raced behind Marquez at the Austin Circuit. He said he learned a lot from The Baby Alien who had more experience than him.

"Riding behind the holders of eight world titles, you always learn something," said Fabio Quartararo.
