Valentino Rossi On Racing In Formula 1: I'm Too Old

JAKARTA - Former MotoGP racer, Valentino Rossi, has dismissed the possibility of competing in Formula 1. According to him, he is too old to race there.

"Unfortunately I'm too old for that," said Valentino Rossi, as quoted by Speedweek.

Valentino Rossi had tried an F1 car in December 2019. At that time he was driving a Mercedes W08, the car Lewis Hamilton used to become the 2017 F1 world champion.

"I have a lot of fun driving a Formula 1 car. It's always been fantastic to drive a race car," he said.

"Everything happened so fast! It's a good day that I will never forget," continued the rider nicknamed The Doctor.

Valentino Rossi has now turned into a four-wheel racer after deciding to retire from MotoGP, in November 2021. His debut was also made in the GT Challenge event, last weekend.

The result, Rossi finished in 17th position. An achievement that he thought was good enough for a debut.

"I did some good laps. The first experience was very positive," he said.
