Ferran Torres Is Getting Closer To Barcelona

JAKARTA - Big Spanish League club Barcelona is reportedly getting closer to signing winger Ferran Torres from Manchester City in the winter transfer window which will open in January.

Quoted by Antara from football-Espana, Friday, according to a report from Diario Sport, Barcelona coach Xavi Hernandez assessed that Ferran Torres could quickly contribute to his team's game.

Xavi Hernandez is thought to be reluctant to take risks about bringing in new players who may not necessarily have a direct impact on Barcelona's game.

The agreement between Ferran Torres and Barcelona is believed to be reached in the next few weeks with the important point being that the two clubs reach an agreement for the transfer of the striker. Little by little, it seems that Barcelona and City are getting closer to finding common ground and reaching an agreement.

As for the transfer fee, Manchester City is reportedly looking for a fresh €50 million and Barcelona will have to think of creative ways to structure the agreement from their financial perspective.

This fairly large transfer fee will be one of the problems for Barcelona, which has recently been in financial trouble.

In addition, the salary bill from the players that Barcelona has also makes them unable to move much in the transfer market and the step to overcome this is to sell Philippe Coutinho and renew the contract of Ousmane Dembele.
