Dejan/Fadia Ready To Make Debut In Mixed Doubles

Dejan Ferdinansyah and Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti will become the new mixed doubles pair (doc. PBSI).

JAKARTA The badminton duo assisted by PB Djarum, Dejan Ferdinansyah and Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti, are ready to make their debut as a mixed doubles pair earlier this year.

The couple is currently still on the waiting list at the India Open 2025. The two will most likely debut in the Indonesia Masters 2025 tournament which will take place on January 21-26, 2025 at Istora.

Dejan could not hide his joy after successfully entering the Cipayung PBSI National Training Center. He waited for five years to fulfill his dream.

"In 2019 there was a conversation that I could enter PBSI, it turned out that it was still not. It was only after five years that I was finally able to join the National Training Center," said Dejan, quoted on the PB Djarum website.

Dejan is currently still playing with his partner Gloria Emanuelle Widjaja. Both are likely to appear next week at the Malaysia Open 2025.

On the other hand, this will be a challenge for Fadia in the mixed doubles after previously she focused more on playing in the women's doubles sector.

Apart from playing in mixed doubles with Dejan, Fadia's name is also included in the women's doubles arrangement. In that sector he was paired with Lanny Tria Mayasari in the last three tournaments last year.

"I'm happy because I was given the opportunity to play concurrently. Previously there had been talk that I might play concurrently, but was surprised when I was paired with Dejan," said Fadia.

Dejan had an incredible year last season with Gloria. The couple had no appearances, but some stunning performances at the end of the year took them on a BWF World Tour Finals 2024 ticket.

Meanwhile, Fadia was in a difficult phase due to injuries to his co-star Apriyani Rahayu. However, the pair were recorded as winners of the 2021 SEA Games and the Malaysia Open at the beginning of being united.
