JAKARTA - The case of a damaged car indicated that the Pertamax fuel is increasingly occurring, the latest viral video on the @depokterkini Instagram page which drains Pertamax from the car tank.

The chronology of the upload also mentions the chronology, where the user fills the full BBM Pertamax for his car, and the vehicle loses power and cannot accelerate.

Previously, the EkoMotorCare workshop shared a short video that found deposits that could block gasoline filters. It also states that the car uses Pertamax fuel.

The VOI team tried to confirm the problems found at the EkoMotorCare workshop. The owner of the workshop, Eko Santoso, said that in his workshop there were approximately 15 units that experienced the same problem as cars using Pertamax fuel.

"There are approximately 15 units, but oddly enough, the problems are the Daihatsu, Toyota and Suzuki brands. So far there are no other brands," he said, when contacted by VOI, Tuesday, November 3.

The man who is familiarly called Eko said that the workshop itself only received complaints from customers such as symptoms such as no car drag, and acceleration was also weak.

"After being traced, it turns out that the gas filter is clogged and we check the fuel is cloudy. I can't sentence whether it's Pertamax or not, but if we ask whether Pertamax and gas stations answer with fuel, it's different," added Eko.

He further said that he could not give an assumption as to who was damaging, whether from the obstacles to gas stations or others because they needed a lab test and there was no realm to analyze the problem, it was only limited to receiving user complaints.

"So I also don't give assumptions who is damaging, only stories related to customer complaints. Actually, we also recommend customers to use Pertamax to make the combustion more perfect and the engine last longer, but this is the first time as of November there have been complaints like that, I don't know whether it's from Pertamax or where we don't know for sure," he said.

Lemigas Lab Test Results

As previously reported by VOI, Lemigas has completed testing the Pertamax sample labs from gas stations in Cibinong and several other areas. The results stated that the quality of Pertamax had met the technical specifications required by the Directorate General of Oil and Gas at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.

"The results of the lab test from Lemigas stated that the Pertamax on spec product is in accordance with the provisions of the Director General of Oil and Gas. The public does not need to worry about the quality of Pertamax," said Pertamina Patra Niaga's Corporate Secretary, Heppy Wulansari in a statement to the media, Friday, November 29.

Heepy also said that related to vehicles that were reported to have engine problems, they were still being monitored and were still continuing their study with LAPI ITB.

"We are still conducting studies considering that engine problems only occur in certain brands and types of vehicles as well as in certain locations, so we need to study the details of the cause of the disturbance in the vehicle machines at these locations," said Heppy.
