GBK Aquatic Stadium Transformed By PLN To EV Charging Station During ISF 2024

JAKARTA PLN prepared 12 EV Chargers at the Aquatic Stadium, Gelora Bung Karno (GBK), to serve delegation and operational electric vehicles during the Indonesia International Sustainability Forum (ISF) 2024. This step is part of the commitment of the PLN Main Distribution Unit (UID) Jakarta Raya in supporting the need for environmentally friendly energy at international events attended by world leaders, located at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC) Senayan.

General Manager of PLN UID Jakarta Raya, Lasiran, ensures that all EV Chargers are ready to be used by the 2024 ISF delegation. He also guarantees reliable and stable electricity supply, so that electric vehicle charging runs smoothly without obstacles.

"We want to provide maximum support to delegates who use electric vehicles during the 2024 ISF. For that, we provide 12 EV Chargers at that location. We hope this facility can ensure the comfort of the delegates during the event," said Lasiran in a statement received Friday, September 6.

Lasiran explained that the 12 EV Chargers provided consisted of 11 Public Electric Vehicle Charging Stations (SPKLU) and 1 General Electric Charging Station (SPLU), with a combination of ultra fast charging and medium charging units.

To ensure smooth charging during ISF 2024, PLN has also assigned 40 officers who will be on standby at the location from September 4 to 7, 2024, from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.

"The presence of the EV Charging Station is expected to facilitate the mobilization of delegates during the event, as well as provide full comfort for those using electric vehicles," concluded Lasiran.
