GWM Officially Fully Operational, Commitment To Build A New Energy Ecosystem In Indonesia

JAKARTA - GWM Indonesia recorded a milestone in the automotive industry by officially operating fully in Indonesia. Currently, GWM Indonesia has only brought two premium SUVs, 500 HEV GWM Tanks and GWM Haval H6 HEV equipped with the latest Hybrid technology.

Receiving a warm welcome since it was introduced last year, these two vehicles come closer to customers in Indonesia. This also further strengthens GWM Indonesia's commitment to supporting the New Energy Vehicle Transition and its position to compete in the Indonesian automotive industry.

"We are very happy and proud because today, after a long wait, finally GWM is officially present in the Indonesian automotive market. We realize that Indonesia has great potential to spearhead the environmentally conscious global vehicle industry. For this reason, GWM brings its 3 (three) global pillars to Indonesia, namely New Intelligent, New Energy, and New Experience which are in line with the mobility style of Indonesian people who always want to be at the forefront of everything," said GWM Indonesia General Manager Constantinus Herlijoso, during a press conference, in the Jakarta area., Thursday, March 21.

He further said that GWM was here to bring a mature strategy for the long term and the expected values to further strengthen bilateral cooperation between China and Indonesia.

"Currently, GWM is leading in terms of technological excellence in the automotive industry by presenting advanced technology that has been adapted to the needs of the Indonesian people, especially in terms of security and comfort which is the main focus in the development of our products," he added.

In addition to presenting two of its flagship SUV units, GWM Indonesia introduced the first NEV Experience Center in Indonesia. The dealer, located at Ground Floor, Lobby 3A Pondok Indah Mall 1, has been operating since March 12, 2024.

The NEV Experience Center is the first modern dealer in a shopping center area and serves as a hub for automotive customers and enthusiasts to engage with innovations in new energy vehicles and exchange ideas in building new energy solutions.

"The next GWM dealer will soon open in Tomang, offer 3S services, and will become the standard for the GWM dealer network which will soon penetrate major cities in Indonesia," said General Manager of Inchcape GWM Retail Indonesia (IGRI) Stefanus Asiantara.

This important GWM momentum is also celebrated through a large event that takes over one of the largest mall complexes in Indonesia, Pondok Indah Mall. GWM held a large exhibition that was founded at PIM 1, PIM 2, PIM 3, and Street Gallery from March 21 to March 24, 2024. Visitors can experience the new level of mobility by taking the test-drive provided by GWM Indonesia.

At this launch event, GWM also collaborated exclusively with Bond.com, where customers had the opportunity to get cashback for every car purchase during the grand launching period, as well as discounts on the purchase of HSR products and special bundling prices for the purchase of Thule products.
