This Is STLA Large, The Latest Tough Platform From Stellantis That Can Give EVs A Distance Of Up To 800 Km

JAKARTA - Successfully launching the STLA Medium platform, Stellantis has just introduced the STLA Large platform specifically for Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) for global markets in segments D and E.

STLA Large has a tough ability to drive on off-road tracks. In addition, this system has capabilities in charging efficiency and dynamic high-performance driving.

Carlos Tavares, CEO of Stellantis, said the presence of this advanced technology was to smooth out ambitious planning to bring environmentally friendly vehicles and meet consumer needs.

"Creating a series of vehicles from a well-designed and flexible set of components to cover the different types of vehicles and driving power, thus outperforming our current product, will answer any of our iconic brand customers," Tavares said on the company's website, Saturday, January 20.

Vehicles that will carry this platform range from crossovers to SUVs, which can provide responsive power without the need to issue zero emissions. The STLA Large move will begin in the North American market which will then be expanded to the global market depending on customer demand.

Using high-power advanced materials, this platform is optimized for weight and stiffness to produce the best performance in its class across the spectrum of vehicle types. Components in the platform are packaged to maximize the interior and storage space that can be used.

The priority is comfort and performance, such as cabin heating/cooling systems, steering, braking assistance, and propulsion designed to minimize energy consumption to increase driving range.

STLA Large is designed and engineered as a genuine BEV platform with electric architecture options of 400 volts and 800 volts. This platform can receive increased drivetrains, such as limited differential slips that can improve performance or reduce mechanical barriers in order to increase efficiency and reach.

This platform can be compatible with battery pack options ranging from 85-118 kWh which targets to have a range of 800 km. In addition to efficiency, STLA Large has impressive performance that can make cars go from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2 seconds.

Furthermore, several vehicles from various brands under Stellantis will carry this platform, such as Dodge, Jeep, Alfa Romeo, Chrysler, and Maserati. It was stated that the company launched eight models from 2024 to 2026.
