Chery Mulai Produksi Perdana Omoda 5 EV Di Indonesia Bulan Desember

JAKARTA - PT Chery Sales Indonesia (CSI), as the Chery Brand Holder Agent (APM) in Indonesia, is intensifying its efforts in dealing with the Indonesian market. One of the strategic steps that will be taken immediately is to introduce the first electric vehicle product, the Chery Omoda 5 EV.

Production of this electric car will begin at the CKD Chery factory in Indonesia in December 2023, as part of the company's initial commitment to the Indonesian market.

"We expressly convey our readiness to start the first production of the OMODA 5 EV Chery to the government as a form of updating our commitment to supporting the development of the electric vehicle industry in Indonesia," said Qu Jizong, Executive Vice President of PT Chery Sales Indonesia, in an official statement received by VOI.ID on Thursday, November 30.

With this production readiness, Chery Sales Indonesia has also shown its readiness to meet the requirements of the Domestic Component Level (TKDN) in accordance with government regulations. To achieve this, Chery will collaborate with several local partners who have competence in producing various components of electric vehicles in Indonesia. This collaboration is also a form of Chery's contribution in supporting domestic economic growth, especially in the automotive sector.

The OMODA 5 EV Chery, as an electric car, is equipped with the latest technology, including efficient electric power trains, large capacity batteries, and advanced safety features. Chery believes that this car will be an attractive option for Indonesian consumers looking for electric vehicles with high quality and environmentally friendly.
