JAKARTA - Mobis, part of the Hyundai Motor Group, reports it has received large orders for EV components from Volkswagen AG, Europe's largest automaker.

Mobis is known for its battery system portfolio with high capacity and efficiency that can be applied to all types of environmentally friendly vehicles called xEV, including hybrid cars and electric cars.

The components ordered by VW are Battery System Assembly (BSA), an important component in the realm of electric vehicles. Battery System Assembly, often abbreviated as BSA, is a complex product that includes battery packages, battery management systems (BMS), and other integral components that are essential to ensure the battery function runs safely and efficiently in electric vehicles.

So, this BSA from Mobis will be integrated into the future generation Volkswagen electric vehicle platform.

Meanwhile, to meet the increasingly high demand for EV components, Mobis is ready to set up a state-of-the-art production facility located close to an automotive factory in Spain.

Currently, based on the company's release, August 9, Mobis produces BSA in Korea and the Czech Republic. The company's expansion strategy also involves the establishment of electric vehicle centers in the United States and Indonesia, which further strengthens its position in key markets.

The cooperation between these two industrial giants not only highlights the sophistication of Mobis technology, but also strengthens its important role in driving the evolution of electric mobility globally.
