Patrick Kluivert Glad His Recommendation Was Accepted By PSSI, Can't Wait To Work With Jordi Cruyff

Patrick Kluivert apparently recommended Jordi Cruyff to be the Indonesian National Team's Technical Advisor (Instagram/@timasindonesia).

JAKARTA - The Indonesian national team coach, Patrick Kluivert, welcomed the presence of Jordi Cruyff as Technical Advisor. Kluiver even admitted that he could not wait to be able to immediately cooperate with a figure who had participated in managing the top Spanish club, Barcelona.

Jordi Cruyff was officially introduced by PSSI as the Indonesian National Team's Technical Advisor on Tuesday, February 26, 2025.

The former Dutch footballer has signed a contract and agreed to assist PSSI in directing and providing input to the Indonesian national team in various age groups.

PSSI General Chair (Ketum) Erick Thohir said bringing in Jordi Cruyff was not easy. Moreover, he has a big name and a very classy track record.

Erick Thohir then revealed that there was the role of Patrick Kluivert in recruiting Jordi Cruyff as the Indonesian National Team's Technical Advisor.

"Frankly, bringing in a quality figure like Jordi is not easy. So, this must be highly appreciated because Jordi is very serious about advancing our football," he said in a statement quoted on Wednesday, February 26, 2025.

"Patrick Kluivert and Jordi know each other. When he recommended Jordi, I was very happy."

"His experience as a player and coach will be very important in building the future of Indonesian football," said the chairman of PSSI.

Patrick Kluivert is also no less happy to know that his recommendation to bring in Jordi Cruyff is actually realized by PSSI. He even admitted that he could not wait to work together.

"The presence of a figure with qualifications like Jordi in the federation will encourage the rapid development of Indonesian football," Kluiver said in a statement from PSSI.

"I can't wait to work with him to strengthen Indonesian football and encourage Indonesian players to a new level," he said again.

Jordi Cruyff plans to come to Indonesia in March 2025 with Patrick Kluiver. He will later assist by providing input in the Indonesian national team's coaching method, then developing grassroots, and helping PSSI find Technical Directors.
