Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan's Mediation With Haris Azhar Canceled Again

JAKARTA - The mediation process between the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan with Haris Azhar and Fatia in the alleged defamation case has been canceled again. This is because Luhut is currently in Italy accompanying President Joko Widodo at the G20 Summit (Summit).

"I have sent a letter back to the police by sending a letter delaying the mediation agenda which should be held today 1 (November) because our client is carrying out state duties with the President to attend the G20," said lawyer Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, Juniver Girsang to VOI, Monday, November 1st.

"So we have postponed the mediation for today," he continued.

With this activity, Juniver also said that he had asked the police to reschedule the mediation agenda. Until later, Luhut arrived in Indonesia.

"Therefore, I convey the mediation so that it can be rescheduled when our client returns to Indonesia," said Juniver.

However, Juniver cannot confirm when his client will return to Indonesia. What is clear, he ensures that his client will fulfill the mediation process.

"Yes, we have officially sent it, we appreciate it, we respect the invitation or information from the police," said Juniver.

For information, the Metro Jaya Police has rescheduled the mediation agenda between the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan with Haris Azhar and Fatia in the alleged defamation case. A meeting between the three is planned for early November.

"Next Monday, mediation on November 1," said Juniver.

This case began when Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan reported Haris Azhar and Fatia to the Metro Jaya Police. This report relates to Haris Azhar and Fatia's statements on YouTube content.
