Calling The South Jakarta Fire Department To Pick Up A Cellphone That Fell In Lebak Bulus MRT Waterway

JAKARTA - One light rescue unit belonging to the South Jakarta Fire Department moved to the vicinity of the Lebak Bulus MRT. Not because there was a fire. But they want to save people's cellphones.

Seven South Jakarta firefighters came. This is their response after receiving reports from residents whose cellphones fell into sewers under the Lebak Bulus MRT Station, RA Kartini Street, Pondok Pinang Regency, Kebayoran Lama District, South Jakarta, last Saturday, October 30.

So the story goes like this. Last Saturday, it was raining heavily in Jakarta. This resident, together with his friends took shelter in the location.

Maybe while taking shelter, he tried to take out his cellphone. However, because it was slippery, the cellphone in his hand was slippery and eventually fell into the sewers for the water channel through the gap in the pipe.

The owner of the cellphone immediately reported the incident to the local fire department at 19:57 western Indonesia time.

After approximately 30 minutes of the evacuation process, the officers found the cellphone.

"I thank the South Jakarta firefighters very much," said this man.
