JAKARTA - Head of the Disaster Data and Information Center (Pusdatin) DKI Jakarta BPBD, Mohammad Insaf, asked the Camat and Lurah in ten sub-districts in South Jakarta and East Jakarta to immediately provide socialization to the public regarding the potential for ground movement in November.

He also asked the people who enter the ten potential zones to be vigilant. This early warning, he said, was issued by the Center for Volcanology and Geological Hazard Mitigation (PVMBG).

The public is also asked to actively seek information through social media. Insaf said there was a need for collaboration from the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government because this was an important concern.

Based on data from the DKI Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), The ten sub-districts prone to land shifting in the medium zone are spread across South Jakarta and East Jakarta.

The areas in South Jakarta are Cilandak, Jagakarsa, Kebayoran Baru, Kebayoran Lama, Mampang Prapatan, Pancoran, Pasar Minggu and Pesanggrahan sub-districts.

Meanwhile, for the East Jakarta area, land shifts are predicted to occur in Kramat Jati and Pasar Rebo sub-districts.
