Using The SS-V2 Assault Rifle, Police In East Lombok Shoot Colleague's Right Chest To Death, Asmara Motive?

NTB - Police investigators from the East Lombok Resort, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) are now investigating the motives of the MN Police Chief Brigadier (38) who shot his colleague, Police Brigadier One HT, to death.

"We are investigating the motive by collecting information and processing the available evidence", said East Lombok Police Chief AKBP Herman Suriyono, after attending HT's funeral in East Gontoran, West Lombok Regency, Antara, Tuesday, October 26.

One of the investigators' efforts to uncover the motive for the murder was to examine the conversation history on the mobile phones of the parties involved.

"The cellphones of the perpetrator, the wife of the perpetrator, the victim, we confiscate all of them and check, we trace the motive from there", he said.

Police Chief Herman has not been able to confirm that the news about MN's shooting at HT was triggered by love problems.

"So to make it clear what was the motive for this member to shoot his colleague, we are still investigating. We are analyzing the available evidence to reveal the real motive", he said.

The incident by a police officer being shot by a fellow police officer occurred on Monday, October 25 yesterday at one of the houses, BTN Griya Pesona Madani, East Lombok Regency.

Based on the results of the crime scene, HT is presumed dead at 11.20 WITA, about four hours after one of the witnesses found HT's body lay covered in blood.

From the autopsy results at Bhayangkara Hospital in Mataram, HT was declared dead from a gunshot wound lodged in the right chest.

This result was also corroborated by findings at the TKP, namely two bullet casings which were thought to have come from the SS-V2 Sabhara individual assault rifle.

The shooting of the East Lombok Police Public Relations member was also revealed from MN's confession when he returned the rifle to its place of duty.

Because of his actions, MN was thrown into the East Lombok Police Detention Center and named a murder suspect.

For the legal process, Police Chief Herman ensures that everything goes according to handling procedures, both in the criminal process and the Indonesian Police Code of Ethics Commission.
