COVID Task Force Checks Rachel Vennya's News Escape From Quarantine At Wisma Atlet Pademangan

JAKARTA - Spokesperson for the COVID-19 Task Force, Wiku Adisasmito, said that his party is currently investigating the news of a celebrity, Rachel Vennya, who allegedly fled while undergoing quarantine at Wisma Atlet Pademangan after returning from the United States.

Wiku said that currently the rumors are still being investigated by the Task Force and the Port Health Office (KKP) of the Ministry of Health.

Wiku explained that quarantine rules for foreign travelers are regulated in the Addendum to Circular Letter Number 18 of 2021 concerning International Travel Health Protocols During the Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) Pandemic.

In the rules, everyone who arrives in Indonesia from abroad is required to quarantine for 8 x 24 hours and carry out an RT-PCR test.

"In principle, this policy is set for mutual safety. Currently, monitoring and evaluation of policy implementation in the field continue to be carried out", said Wiku.

As is known, internet celebrity Rachel Vennya reportedly ran away from the Wisma Atlet. She is scheduled to undergo an eight-day quarantine after returning from the United States.

This news circulated after an Instagram account named @_melatiintaan wrote a comment about the celebrity. This account claims to be one of the data input officers at Wisma Atlet Kemayoran.

According to her, Rachel was required to undergo quarantine for eight days but it turned out that Rachel only ran for three days.

"Ohhh, she was supposed to be quarantined at the Wisma Atlet for 8 days, eh. But she just ran away for 3 days???", wrote @_melatiintaan on October 8, 2021.

This account also mentions Rachel Vennya being in the same room with her lover, Salim Nauderer, and her manager even though they are not husband and wife.

"Because I entered her data at Wisma Atlet Pademangan. For God's sake... Satisfied? I asked where the address is, pretending to be stupid until she shared the same room with Salim even though they were not husband and wife, I asked for a marriage book, she said there were three of them, with Rachel's manager, who was a girl..".
