Videocall With Athletes, Anies Is Proud That DKI Is Still Rank One In Papua National Sports Week

JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan said he was grateful and proud for the position of DKI Jakarta which was still ranked first in the Papua National Sports Week (PON) event.

"Thank God, to this day DKI Jakarta is still ranked first in PON XX Papua 2021. 36 gold, 23 silver, and 24 bronze, the temporary acquisition of the DKI Jakarta medal as of October 3, 2021, at 21.09 p.m. local time yesterday," said Anies in the Instagram account @aniesbaswedan, Monday, October 4.

In that moment, Anies made video calls with the athletes who competed. They are Journalists Nurhakim (wheel skating), Tika et al (paddle), Agi et al (cricket), Toriq (taekwondo), and Head of the Contingent (CDM) Hidayat Humaid.

"Last Sunday morning, we sent support and prayers via video call to friends of the Jakarta contingent athletes who will compete that day," said Anies.

The former Minister of Education and Culture admits that he continues to follow the developments of the Papua PON through the newspapers he reads every morning.
