JAKARTA - A 7-year-old girl has drowned while swimming with her two friends in the middle of Galian Pasir Lake, Kemiri District, Tangerang Regency, Banten.

It is known that the drowning victim had the initials AFH. The victim was declared missing and drowned on Tuesday, September 28 at around 15.00 p.m. local time.

After receiving the news, the SAR team officers immediately rushed to the scene. AFH search efforts continue to be carried out by officers after the victim was declared missing and drowned.

After the search process was carried out for one night, the body of AFH was finally found by the joint SAR team in a lifeless condition. The victim was found on Wednesday, September 29 at around 07.24 a.m.

"This morning we found the victim dead. The AFH victim was found not far from the scene. The victim's body was immediately evacuated to the funeral home to be handed over to the victim's family," said Head of the Jakarta Search and Rescue Office SAR Mission Coordinator (SMC), Hendra Sudirman to VOI, Wednesday, September 29.

Hendra said the discovery of the body of AFH was the result of the hard work of the combined SAR elements in the search for victims.

The search process begins with a briefing on the division of the search area by dividing 3 SRU (Search and Rescue Unit) teams or search, and rescue.

"The first SRU conducted a search by sweeping using a rubber boat covering an area of approximately 1.800 M2 around the scene of the incident," said Hendra.

While the second SRU searched by land around the lake area with a radius of 250 meters from the scene of the incident visually.

"The third SRU conducts a search by diving if the situation allows with a radius of 10 meters from the scene," he said.

Furthermore, Hendra explained, in this search process, a number of parties joined from the Jakarta Search and Rescue Office, Kemiri Police, Tangerang Regency Fire Department, Tangerang Regency Tagana, Banten Province Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), Tangerang Regency BPBD, Kemiri Military District Command (Koramil) and Tangerang Regency Radio Between Indonesian Residents (Rapi).

"There is also the role of the Pancasila Youth Organization, the MTA SAR, and the surrounding community who are members of the joint SAR Team in the search process," he said.
