Bobby Nasution Adds Budget Allocation For Medan City Infrastructure Improvement To IDR 1 Trillion

MEDAN - Pemko Medan increased the budget allocation of up to IDR 1 trillion to the Public Works Department (PU) in the 2022 budget year to accelerate infrastructure improvements, which is one of the priority programs.

"For the physical in the PU (Public Works Department) the budget has been added to IDR 1 trillion," said Medan Mayor Bobby Nasution, quoted by Antara, Monday, September 20.

The Public Works Agency is a regional apparatus organization (OPD) within the Medan City Government which is tasked with fixing road infrastructure or drainage.

Medan Mayor Bobby Nasution wants all tenders for activities in 2022 to be completed before 2021 ends so that early next year physical work can start immediately.

According to Bobby Nasution, the weather is one of the factors that affect the work of the Public Works Department. As is known, towards the end of the year usually enter the rainy season.

On the other hand, the acceleration of tenders and the implementation of activities are also carried out to accelerate the absorption of the budget.

"So that the budget can be realized quickly, in month 9 weather factors affect work in Public Works Agency, as well as accelerate budget realization, month 9 is not allowed to work again next year, that's our effort", said Medan Mayor Bobby Nasution.
