JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has scheduled an examination of the Governor of DKI Jakarta Anies Baswedan and Chairman of DKI Jakarta Regional House of Representatives, Prasetyo Edi Marsudi.

Both will be questioned on Tuesday, September 21 at the KPK's Red and White Building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta.

Anies and Prasetyo Edi will be examined as witnesses to complete the case file belonging to the former President Director of Perumda Pembangunan Sarana Jaya, Yoory Corneles.

"The Investigative Team has scheduled the summons of witnesses for Tsk YRC et al, including Anies Baswedan (Governor of DKI Jakarta) and Prasetyo Edi Marsudi (Chairman of the DKI Jakarta Regional House of Representatives) to be present on Tuesday, September 21 at the KPK's Red and White Building", said KPK Spokesperson of Enforcement Division, Ali Fikri, told reporters, Monday, September 20.

This summons, he continued, was needed to make the actions of the perpetrators of the riot clear and clear. Moreover, currently, investigators are continuing to complete Yoory's file and will call several witnesses.

"KPK hopes that the witnesses who have been properly summoned by the investigative team will be able to attend according to the time stated in the summons," said Ali.

"The summoning of a person as a witness, of course, is based on the needs of the investigation so that from the statements of the witnesses the actions of the suspects become clearer and clearer," he added.

Previously, the KPK had named four suspects, namely the Director and Deputy Director of PT Adonara Propertindo, Tommy Adrian, and Anja. Runtuwene, former President Director of Perumda Pembangunan Sarana Jaya Yoory Corneles, and Director of PT Aldira Berkah Abadi Makmur (ABAM), Rudy Hartono Iskandar.

In addition, the KPK has also named PT Adonara Propertindo as a suspect in corporate corruption.

This allegation of corruption occurred when Perumda Pembangunan Sarana Jaya, which is a BUMD in the property sector, sought land in the Jakarta area to be used as a business unit or land bank. Furthermore, this regionally owned company cooperates with PT Adonara Propertindo which is also engaged in the same field.

As a result of this alleged corruption, the state is estimated to have lost up to IDR 152.5 billion. The suspects allegedly used this money to finance their personal needs.
