JAKARTA - Two entertainment venues in the Cilandak area, South Jakarta, on Sunday morning was raided by joint officers from the DKI Jakarta Civil Service Police Unit, TNI, and Police. The two places were found to have violated the operational rules of the Level 3 Implementation of Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) in the Capital City.

"The entertainment venues that were taken into account by the officers were Cafe 98 and Tory Bar in the West Cilandak area, which was found to be still operating after 24.00 WIB", said Jakarta Head of Jakarta Civil Service Police Unit Arifin, in Cilandak, South Jakarta, Sunday 12 September.

Arifin explained, Cafe 98 belongs to the bar category and as long as PPKM level 3 is not allowed to operate.

"So because of the activity, the first action was during PPKM before it was allowed it would be closed. The second, because there was no permit, was subject to a penalty of IDR 50 million", he said.

Apart from violating the PPKM, continued Arifin, the cafe was also sealed because it did not have a business license to sell liquor (alcohol).

Meanwhile, the Tory Bar which also does not heed the operational rules of entertainment venues is subject to administrative sanctions and is not allowed to operate during level three PPKM.

The Head of the Cilandak Police, Commissioner of Police, Agung Permana, said that his party and the local government had warned entertainment venues to comply with level three PPKM rules.

"There is Tory and Cafe 98, at this location apart from violating PPKM regulations, that the bar has not been allowed to operate but has been running. In fact, one of the ones that were closed has not yet received a permit at all", said Agung.

According to him, in general, the entertainment venues that have been dealt with are quite cooperative, although some of them are still playing with the officers in the field.

"There was a door that was closed on purpose, then the voice was quiet earlier. There was even a padlock earlier and we finally asked to open it, in the end, there were still many visitors", he said.
