Novel Baswedan Et Al Ask The KPK Supervisory Board To Criminally Report Lili Pintauli

JAKARTA - An employee of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has asked the Deputy Chairperson of the KPK, Lili Pintauli Siregar, to be reported criminally. This request was represented by non-active investigator Novel Baswedan because what Lili did was a criminal offense.

Lili was declared by the KPK Supervisory Board to have violated the code of ethics because she had abused her authority for personal gain and met directly with the litigants, namely the Mayor of Tanjungbalai M Syahrial, who is a suspect in the bribery case of buying and selling positions.

"That it has become a basic principle for supervisory agencies including Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP), The Supreme Audit Agency of the Republic of Indonesia (BPK), and other supervisory institutions, that if a criminal element is found in the examination, the supervisory agency is obliged to report it to the authorized party, namely law enforcement", Novel said in a written statement quoted on Friday, September 3.

According to him, this report was based on the decision of Tumpak Hatorangan Panggabean et al which stated that Lili was legally proven to have violated Article 4 Paragraph (2) letter a of the Regulation of the KPK Supervisory Board Number 2 of 2020.

"So indirectly, the Supervisory Board stated that all LPS actions that were legally proven had also committed acts prohibited in Article 36 of Law Number 20 of 2002, which means that a criminal violation has occurred", said Novel.

Previously, Lili Pintauli was severely punished in the form of cutting her basic salary by 40 percent for 12 months. This follows the decision of the KPK Supervisory Board which stated that he had violated the code of ethics and code of conduct of KPK personnel.

There are two things that incriminate Lili so that she was sentenced. She is said to have shown no remorse for her actions and did not set an example and role model as a KPK leader.
