Persecution Of Security Officers, 2 Armed Bekasi Preman Arrested By Police

BEKASI – Two perpetrators of persecuting security officers in Bekasi were arrested. The Head of Public Relations of the Bekasi City Metro Police, Kompol Erna Ruswing Andari, said the two perpetrators were thugs who often disturbed residents and acted arrogantly.

The arrests of the two Bekasi thugs were based on reports of abuse experienced by security officers at Pasar Baru Bekasi, Ir. Haji Juanda Street, Duren Jaya, East Bekasi. The suspects with the initials I (32) and S (33) used airsoft guns, air rifles, and chairs to persecute victims of security officers.

Police Commissioner Erna Ruswing Andari said the abuse case occurred on Thursday, August 26, at around 22.00 WIB. The victim's initials were R (36), a security officer, and J, a market parking officer.

"The perpetrators who came together, one person immediately hit the parking counter officer with the initials J with his bare hands until he fell down and again beat the victim with a plastic chair", said Kompol Erna quoting PMJ, Monday, August 30.

Then, continued Erna, came victim R who served as a security picket to interfere. However, the other perpetrators were immediately pointed at with an airsoft gun and shot 3 times.

"Luckily the shot didn't hit R, the victim was able to save himself", he said.

As a result of the incident, victim J suffered bruises on his face and head. The two victims finally reported it to the East Bekasi Police.

"Based on the victim's report and CCTV footage, the East Bekasi Police Criminal Investigation Unit conducted a series of investigations and managed to arrest the two perpetrators in less than 24 hours", he said.

He added that apart from securing the two perpetrators, the police also confiscated evidence in the form of an air rifle and an airsoft gun.
