Residents Suspected TNI Persons Who Hit Merchants On The Middle Item Bridge

JAKARTA - The dark green military vehicle involved in an accident at the Item Bridge used goods market, Jalan Jatinegara, East Jakarta has license plate number 3010-54.

According to information from residents at the scene, the official car was driven by TNI personnel who were suspected of being drunk. As a result, 3 people suffered injuries all over their bodies.

Sri Wahyu Ningsih, could not contain her sadness after knowing that her brother was the victim of an accident. At the time of the incident, he was also at the crime scene (TKP).

"The victims of the accident are my brother and his wife. My brothers are Alfi Maryansyah and Nita Trismaya. Before this accident, both of them were still here, his wife was sitting waiting for merchandise while her husband was lying under the merchandise", he told VOI at the location, Monday 30 August, early days.

As a result of the accident, said Sri, his brother, and sister-in-law were seriously injured due to the heavy impact of the TNI official car coming from the front.

"My brother is injured in his leg (right) and wants to break it. He is pinched", he said.

In addition to his two brothers and siblings, a man who is also a merchant at the Item Bridge was also a victim of an accident.

"These gentlemen are still here (on the sidewalk), already. (The car is coming fast) Immediately "break" hit here", said Sri.

Before the unfortunate incident occurred, Sri said that her brother and sister-in-law were at her shop as usual. They traded food and coffee near the bridge, next to Rio's inn. Sri also said the traffic flow was running normally as usual.

"At first my brother was lying here right under the car. His wife was sitting in this hut. The car from that direction (Jatinegara Station) was fast. This (Mio) motorbike was parked in front of the Rio in earlier, then it was hit and dragged here", he said.

Furthermore, residents and other flea traders evacuated when the accident occurred. There were 3 seriously injured victims, local traders.

"They have been taken to the Premier Jatinegara Hospital", he said.

Previously, it was reported that an official car belonging to the TNI rammed into street vendors (PKL) at the Item Bridge flea market, Jalan Jatinegara Timur II, Jatinegara District, East Jakarta.

As a result of the accident, at least 3 traders suffered severe injuries all over their bodies and were hit hard.

One trader whose identity has not been identified was seriously injured due to the heavy impact, while the other two are a husband and wife couple who are coffee traders at the scene.

According to several residents who saw the incident, the incident occurred on Sunday, August 29, around 23.00 WIB. At first, the car drove from the direction of Jatinegara Station towards the Item Bridge TL. The car hit the merchants who were beside the inn.

To anticipate the crowd of residents, the East Jakarta Polrestro Satlantas finally towed the TNI official car. Meanwhile, damaged motorcycles and bicycles were also confiscated as evidence.

Until this news was published, there has been no official statement from the East Jakarta Police Traffic Unit and the TNI Denpom. Meanwhile, the case is still being handled by the TNI Denpom for further processing.
