The End Of Muhammad Kece's Escape, His Status Is Suspect For Blasphemy And Threatened With Multiple Articles

JAKARTA - The police have arrested YouTuber Muhammad Kece who was involved in the alleged blasphemy case against Islam. In fact, his legal status was already a suspect.

"He has been arrested, he is a suspect", said the Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police, Inspector General Argo Yuwono, to reporters, Wednesday, August 25.

With the status of a suspect, Muhammad Kece will be suspected of having multiple articles, namely Article 45 A paragraph 2 in conjunction with Article 28 paragraph 2 of Law No. 19 of 2016, Law No. 11 of 2008, and Article 156(a) of the Criminal Code on blasphemy.

On the previous occasion, the Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police, Komjen Agus Andrianto, confirmed the news of the arrest of Muhammad Kece.

"The person concerned has indeed been arrested", said Agus.

The arrests took place in Bali. Currently, investigators are taking him to Jakarta for further investigation.

"Today they will be brought to the Criminal Investigation Department", said Komjen Agus.
