JAKARTA - The bed occupancy rate (BOR) of referral hospitals for COVID-19 patients in the capital is currently 23 percent. The decrease in BOR is in line with the trend of declining positive cases.

"Thank God, the BOR for hospitals in Jakarta has fallen to 23 percent," said Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Ahmad Riza Patria Riza after reviewing vaccinations at the Al-Azhar Grand Mosque in Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, Antara, Sunday, August 22.

This good news cannot be separated from the efforts of all parties to implement health protocols. However, Riza stressed, the public is advised to continue to implement strict health protocols so that new cases do not appear.

In addition to the decrease in bed occupancy for COVID-19 patients, the bed occupancy rate in the intensive care unit (ICU) in DKI also decreased to 44 percent.

"Our ICU is down 44 percent. Vaccine data is also more than 9 million. In the next few weeks, we will reach 11 million. And the most important thing is that Jakarta residents immediately visit the nearest vaccine center," said Riza.

Isolation Room

Negative Pressure Insulation: 708 beds available or 57 percent of 1,253 beds.

No Negative Pressure Insulation: 1,267 beds available or 74 percent of 1,706 beds.

COVID-19 PICU: 8 beds available or 40 percent of 20 beds.
