Ridwan Kamil Delivers Bad News: 16 Regions In West Java Still Implementing PPKM Level 4

JAKARTA - West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil conveyed unpleasant news after receiving President Joko Widodo's direction regarding the extension of PPKM Level 4 from 26 July to 2 August 2021.

Emil said, Ridwan Kamil's nickname, there are several areas in West Java that have implemented PPKM Level 3 until August 2 to reduce the rate of transmission of the coronavirus.

"Alhamdulillah, there are 11 regions in West Java that have managed to improve so that they are allowed to carry out PPKM at Level 3 with various easing," he continued.

Meanwhile, 16 other regions in West Java that have implemented PPKM Level 4 include Sukabumi City, Bandung City, Bogor Regency, Cirebon Regency, Depok City, Bekasi City, Banjar Regency, Cimahi City, and Tasikmalaya Regency. Furthermore, Bandung Regency, West Bandung Regency, Bogor Regency, Bekasi Regency, Purwakarta Regency, Karawang Regency, and Sumedang Regency.

Then there are 11 regions that apply PPKM Level 3 in West Java, namely Sukabumi Regency, Subang Regency, Pangandaran Regency, Majalengka Regency, Kuningan Regency, Indramayu Regency, Garut Regency, Cirebon Regency, Cianjur Regency, Ciamis Regency, and Tasikmalaya Regency.

"Let's fight together to perfect all efforts so that next week the situation can improve," said Emil.

In the same upload, Emil explained several rule points in implementing PPKM level 3. Among them, non-essential sector companies are not allowed to employ their employees in the office. In other words, all non-essential company employees work from home, or 100 percent work from home.

Meanwhile, 100 percent works from office systems to essential and critical sectors. Stores are allowed to open with a capacity of 50 percent with an operational time of up to 20.00 western Indonesia time.

Furthermore, the market may open with a capacity of 50 percent with an operational time of up to 15.00 western Indonesia time.

Malls may operate with a capacity of 25 percent and operational time until 17.00 western Indonesia time, street vendors (PKL) may operate until 20.00.

Then, food stalls may operate with a capacity of 25 percent until 20.00 western Indonesia time. Diners may eat in place for a maximum of 30 minutes.

Another rule in PPKM Level 3 is that houses of worship are opened with a capacity of 25 percent of visitors. Wedding receptions can be held with a maximum of 20 people invited without a meal together.

He hopes that the PPKM level can be lowered so that West Java will be better in the future. So far, hospital occupancy for COVID-19 in West Java has also continued to improve, even dropping to 69 percent.

He apologized and asked for cooperation from various parties so that this pandemic could be ended as soon as possible.
