Cak Imin: Focus The Budget For Accelerating COVID-19 Vaccination

JAKARTA - Chairman of the House of Representatives (DPR) Muhaimin Iskandar asked all elements to work hand in hand to accelerate and increase the COVID-19 vaccination process. Including focusing a special budget to finance vaccinations.

"Focus on all existing budgets to temporarily finance the vaccination program", said Muhaimin, Friday, July 23.

The PKB Party general chairman said vaccination was the most effective way to ward off the worst effects of the COVID-19 virus. With vaccination, he said, the body will more easily recognize the virus, so that when an infection occurs, the immune system will work well.

"With the vaccine, it will be able to suppress the worst symptoms so that even if they are exposed, people do not need to go to the hospital and minimize the death rate", explained Cak Imin.

The DPR leadership for the People's Welfare Coordinator (Korkesra) sector assessed that the government had made every effort to deal with the COVID-19 pandemic. However, he said, it is not optimal to involve all elements of society in the success of control programs, one of which is accelerating vaccination.

"We are aware that the government has done its best to control this pandemic so total that sometimes the government feels alone. Therefore I urge the government not to feel alone. Invite and involve all forces to carry out vaccinations", he said.

Cak Imin also appealed to the government to cooperate with clerics and religious leaders in the success of the COVID-19 vaccination program.

"By working hand in hand and backed up by leaders, scholars, leaders. Thank you to all PKB Party cadres, committees, administrators who have helped all, helped self-isolation, helped our colleagues who are positive in the regions", he said.
