OIC Condemns Israel's Increasing Crimes in Gaza and the Entire Occupied Palestinian Territory

JAKARTA - The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) condemns Israel's continued crimes and violations throughout the Occupied Palestinian Territory, especially targeting health facilities, residential buildings, and tents hosting Palestinian refugees in the Gaza Strip, which it said had resulted in the killing and wounding of dozens of civilians in a blatant violation of international law and international humanitarian law.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, the General Secretariat also warned of the continued increase in Israeli colonial settlement activities and organized violence carried out by extremist Israeli settlers under the protection of Israeli occupation forces throughout the occupied West Bank, including Jerusalem, launching WAFA (4/8).

Furthermore, the General Secretariat emphasized the need for decisive action to stop these violations and crimes and to hold those responsible accountable.

OKI reiterated the need to compel Israel, as the occupying power, to fulfill its obligations under the ceasefire agreement and to begin implementing the second phase of the peace plan in accordance with UN Security Council Resolution 2803.

OKI emphasized that this must include the reopening of all borders, ensuring adequate and unhindered delivery of humanitarian assistance, the full withdrawal of Israeli occupation forces, maintaining the unity of the Palestinian territory, and allowing the Government of the State of Palestine to carry out its responsibilities throughout the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including the Gaza Strip.
