Already Vaccinated, Fauzi Bowo And His Wife Are Positive For COVID-19

JAKARTA - The former governor of DKI Jakarta, Fauzi Bowo (Foke) and his wife were reported to be positive for COVID-19. It is known, Fauzi Bowo and his wife have undergone the COVID-19 vaccination.

This was confirmed by the Head of the DKI Health Office, Widyastuti. Widyastuti said that currently the treatment of Foke and his wife is being monitored by the DKI Health Office.

"Laboratory results show that on July 1, he was positive. Thank God, Mr. and Mrs. received 2 doses of vaccination when he was still in Berlin, namely getting the Pfizer vaccination", said Widyastuti at DKI City Hall, Central Jakarta, Monday, July 5.

Currently, Widyastuti said Foke and his wife are in stable condition. She predicted that Foke contracted COVID-19 from his aide who had also undergone a COVID-19 vaccination.

"He has relatively little contact with outside parties. Indeed, around him there are assistants. This is possible from there. Incidentally, the aide has received two doses of vaccination", she said.

When confirmed positive, Foke had time to undergo treatment and a lab check at a hospital in Central Jakarta. After coordinating with the family, Health Office officers took care of Foke and his wife at home.

"We in the DKI Jakarta Health Office team provide assistance and do two sides, one is to visit him by giving medicines that have been determined by the treating doctor", explained Widyastuti.

Not only that, the DKI Health Office has also prepared a consultation team from Tarakan Hospital to conduct teleconsultation to Foke and his wife.

"In principle, we provide assistance, we have also anticipated if further treatment is needed, we have prepared it", she said.

For information, the provision of health care facilities for Foke as a former Governor of DKI is contained in Governor Regulation Number 4 of 2019 concerning Health Services for Former Governors and Former Deputy Governors and Wives/Husbands.

The Governor of DKI Jakarta, Anies Baswedan, signed the Governor's Regulations on January 23, 2019, which reads, "To reward the service of former governors and former deputy governors, it is necessary to provide health services for former governors and former deputy governors".
