Mysterious Fortuner Cowboy Action Near Pati Police Complex, 10 CCTVs Secured

JAKARTA - A video recording a Toyota Fortuner driver opening fire next to the Pati Polri complex on Joko Sutono Street, Melawai, Kebayoran Baru has gone viral.

The police also intervened to investigate the cowboy's actions. The South Jakarta Metro Police secured 10 surveillance cameras or CCTV at the scene.

"We take it, we want to investigate it (CCTV)", said the Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the South Jakarta Metro Police Commissioner Achmad Akbar at his office in Jakarta, reported by Antara, Monday, June 21.

He said, of the 10 CCTVs that have been secured, he said, only two were recording around the scene.

He said the unknown person who carried out the shooting was driving a four-wheeled vehicle with the black Toyota Fortuner brand.

The number of the vehicle used by the perpetrator, he continued, is still unknown.

Previously, on Saturday, June 19 at around 22.38 WIB, a shooting occurred next to the Pati Polri complex which was caught on surveillance cameras.

There were no casualties in the mysterious shooting incident.

Police, he said, found evidence in the form of two bullet casings around the crime scene at around 05.00 WIB.

Akbar added that the police had also conducted investigations at the crime scene (TKP) this Sunday at around 06.00 WIB.

His party has also asked for statements from several witnesses but he did not provide details on the number of witnesses whose statements were taken.

The moments of the shooting were recorded on CCTV around the location and the video footage was uploaded to the Instagram account @cetul.22.

In the black and white video footage that went viral on social media, it can be seen that the traffic conditions at the time of the incident were quiet.
