The Corruption Eradication Commission Leader Will Be Questioned This Thursday, The National Human Rights Commission: Firli Bahuri Has A Good Commitment To Come

JAKARTA - The National Human Rights Commission (Komnas HAM) said it would examine the leadership of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) on Thursday, June 17.

This examination relates to allegations of human rights violations in the National Insight Test Assessment (TWK).

Commissioner for Monitoring and Investigation of Komnas HAM Mohammad Choirul Anam said Firli Bahuri et al will come for the examination.

"There has been a good commitment from the KPK leadership to come to the Komnas HAM examination process on Thursday. So tomorrow Thursday, our colleagues, the KPK will come and will prepare whatever is really needed", Anam said at a press conference held at the Komnas HAM Office, Jalan Latuharhary, Central Jakarta, Tuesday, June 15.

The schedule for this examination, he continued, had also been agreed with the KPK Legal Bureau who came to the Komnas HAM office on Monday, June 14 yesterday. "Agreed on the time, the time is Thursday but the time has not been determined", he said.

Komnas HAM has also explained the context of the summons which has been disputed by the anti-corruption commission. Thus, Anam hopes that the KPK leadership can attend and provide clarification regarding the alleged TWK implementation so that the TWK polemic becomes clear.

"Hopefully the meeting on Thursday, the taking of information really takes place, and this we at Komnas HAM get a lot of information and clarification and get a more comprehensive explanation", said Anam.

Furthermore, on the same day or Thursday, June 15, Komnas HAM will also summon the Head of the State Civil Service Agency (BKN) Bima Haria Wibisana. He will also be asked for information regarding the implementation of the test as a condition for transferring the status of this KPK employee.

Anam hopes that Bima can attend the scheduled call so that his party will immediately get more detailed information.

"The gentleman agreement, the agreement when we studied it for the first examination for friends at BKN, stated that when there was an investigation, they were ready to provide further information and we scheduled it for Thursday", he explained.

As previously reported, the National Insight Test was attended by 1.351 KPK employees. Of these, 1.274 people were declared eligible.

Meanwhile, 75 employees including Novel Baswedan, Chairman of the KPK Employee Forum who is also investigator Yudi Purnomo, Director of Socialization and Anti-Corruption Campaign Giri Suprapdiono, Head of the KPK Task Force Harun Al-Rasyid, and former Director of Inter-Commission and Agency Network Development (PJKAKI) Director Sujarnarko who will retire are also declared ineligible (TMS). While the other two employees did not attend the interview test.

According to the statements of the employees who did not pass, there were a number of irregularities in the implementation of this assessment, such as questions that were considered to violate the private sphere. These irregularities were then reported by dozens of these employees to Komnas HAM, National Commission for Women, to the Indonesian Ombudsman.
