Today, DKI Holds Face-to-Face School Trials In 226 Schools

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government held a trial of face-to-face learning (PTM) phase 1 in 226 schools. This number comes from 143 schools that have passed the training from 308 schools, as well as 83 schools that have previously piloted PTM projects.

Head of Public Relations of the DKI Education Office, Taga Radja Gah, said that the 83 schools that had implemented PTM some time ago were not included in the pilot program.

"Currently, the PTM trial phase 1. Yesterday was limited piloting. For now, I am correcting it because I just received information," said Taga when contacted, Tuesday, June 8.

In detail, 143 schools consist of 76 Elementary schools, 1 Islamic Elementary school, 14 Junior High schools, 3 Islamic Junior High schools, 11 Senior High schools, 1 Islamic Senior High school, 33 Vocational schools, and 4 Course and Training Institutes (LKP). Plus, the 83 schools that have participated in the piloting are limited.

In today's PTM trial, Taga Radja Gah said the learning mechanism that will be carried out has not followed President Joko Widodo's direction.

"We are still using yesterday's piloting. We have to use what has been determined. We have not adopted what the President directs. Use the existing one first," said Taga.

It is known that Jokowi asked face-to-face learning activities (PTM) in schools to be carried out carefully. Jokowi wants the capacity of students to study in schools to a maximum of 25 percent. Then, in one week PTM is only held for two days.

Meanwhile, in the pilot project at 83 schools and will be continued in the trial today, PTM is carried out three days a week with a student capacity of 50 percent.

Monday, PTM for grades 4 of elementary school, 7 of junior high school, and 10 of senior high school. Next Wednesday for grade 5 of elementary school, 8 of junior high school, and 11 of senior high school students, and Friday for grade 6 of elementary school, 9 of junior high school, and 12 of senior high schools. Then, next Wednesday for grades 5 of elementary school, 8 of junior high school, and 11 of senior high school, and Friday for grades 6 of elementary school, 9 of junior high school, and 12 of senior high school.

"The approach is blended learning. Half face-to-face, half at home," he said.

After that, DKI will hold a learning period for the new normal during the 2021/2022 school year, 15 July.
