National Human Rights Commission Will Be Summoned Firli Bahuri: I Don't Know What To Ask

JAKARTA - Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Firli Bahuri spoke about the plan to summon him by the National Human Rights Commission (Komnas HAM).

He admitted that he had discussed the plan for this summons with four other KPK leaders, although he did not know what would be extracted from him.

"I don't understand what Komnas HAM will ask. But what is certain is, of course, we have discussed it with our colleagues from the KPK leadership", Firli told reporters at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Central Jakarta, Thursday, June 3.

This discussion was conducted because the pattern of leadership in the anti-corruption commission was a collegial collective.

"So whatever we do must be decided together and must be jointly and severally responsible", he said.

However, he denied that he would come to the summons. "Who said that? I haven't said that you know," he said.

Komnas HAM has stated that it will summon Firli. This summons will be made to investigate allegations of human rights violations in the National Insight Test Assessment (TWK) process as a condition for the transfer of employment status.

As previously reported, the TWK was attended by 1,351 KPK employees. Of these, 1,274 people were declared eligible.

Meanwhile, 75 employees, including Novel Baswedan, Chairman of the KPK Employee Forum who is also investigator Yudi Purnomo, Director of Socialization and Anti-Corruption Campaign Giri Suprapdiono, Head of the KPK Task Force Harun Al-Rasyid, and Director of PJKAKI Sujarnarko were declared ineligible (TMS). While the other two employees did not attend the interview test.

According to the employees who were declared unsuccessful, there were several anomalies in the implementation of this assessment. Including, several questions are considered to violate the private sphere.

These employees who did not pass then reported the implementation of the TWK to Komnas HAM. Subsequently, a special team was formed, led by two commissioners, namely Choirul Anam and Sandrayati Moniaga to investigate the alleged human rights violations in this test.

In addition to submitting reports to Komnas HAM, these employees also report their leadership to several parties, from the KPK Supervisory Board to the Indonesian Ombudsman.
