Kemendukbangga Hopes Five Priority Programs Will Run in Jayawijaya

WAMENA - The Ministry of Population and Family Development (Kemendukbangga)/BKKBN RI hopes that five priority programs can run optimally in Jayawijaya Regency, Papua Mountains.

Head of the Kemendukbangga/BKKBN Papua Representative Charles Brabar in a written statement in Wamena, Saturday, said the five priority programs at Kemendukbangga/BKKBN were the foster parent movement to prevent stunts (Genting), the loving child nursery (Tamasya), the Indonesian exemplary father movement (Gati), empowered elderly (Sidaya), and a super app about the family.

"Currently we are focusing on the problems of stunting, extreme poverty and inflation, where the program must collaborate with the local government. It must be in line with the vision and mission of the regent and deputy regent of Jayawijaya or the other eight districts in the Papua Mountains so that the goals that want to be achieved can be realized," he said.

According to him, the Population and Family Planning Agency or BKKBN has changed its name slightly, but most of its tasks are still the same.

"Previously it was called BKKBN, now it has changed to Kemendukbangga so that the people and regional device organizations in Papua Highlands must also know it so that together they can succeed in the five priority programs," he said.

He explained that the priority program from the Ministry of Finance/BKKBN must be connected with the regional government program, in this case the vision and mission of the regional head.

"We emphasize to the leadership of the regional device organization OPD in Jayawijaya Regency and the other eight regencies that the ministry's programs should be collaborated with regional programs so that the goals that want to be achieved can be realized," he said.

He added that his party would strengthen the collaboration of the Kemendukbangga/BKKBN program with the regional government program through a meeting with the Jayawijaya Regency Regional Development Planning Agency.

"We will discuss with Bappeda to see the population road map so that what is currently conveyed to the OPD is related to all collaborating with the vision and mission of the regent and deputy regent of Jayawijaya," he said.

The working area of the Perwakilan Kemendukbangga/BKKBN Papua covers the provinces of Papua, South Papua, Central Papua and Papua Mountains.
